Addnode acquires Danish operation

07 June 2011, 08:00 CEST
Addnode has acquired CDLight A/S, which has total sales of approximately SEK 30 M. The acquisition will broaden Addnode’s offering on the Danish market as a supplier of IT solutions for design, construction and product information.

Addnode's Design Management business area has for some time had an operation in Demark dealing primarily with customers in the construction and real estate sector, geographically focused in the Copenhagen area. The acquisition of CDLight means that we are broadening the offering to include customers from traditional industries and gaining a geographical expansion into Jutland province.

The acquisition will strengthen the Design Management business area and the position of the subsidiary Cad-Q as the Nordic region's largest and one of Europe's leading suppliers of IT solutions for the creation and processing of digital models and construction drawings.

CDLight A/S has sales of approximately SEK 30 M and 14 employees, and is a well-known Danish supplier of solutions based on Autodesk's software platform, as well as proprietary applications for the manufacturing and construction industries. It has a broad customer base and customers are primarily from traditional industries. The acquired operations will form part of Cad-Q's Danish operation, which after the acquisition will have annual sales of approximately SEK 60 M.

"With the acquisition of CDLight, we will strengthen our operations and output capacity in Denmark. We can provide a more complete offering to customers in the Danish market, as well as new solutions and a supplier organization that spans the entire Nordic region. In addition to local support, our customers will have access to a wider range of products, services and industries," says Rolf Kjaernsli, President of Cad-Q and Business Area Manager Design Management.

Following the recent acquisition in Denmark, the Design Management business area will have 200 qualified employees in Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark. The business area's offering comprises solutions based on Autodesk's software platform, proprietary applications and systems, as well as other complementary products. The services and solutions are often critical to customers' operations and connected to the processes of design, product development, manufacture, technical documentation and the efficient publication and storage of drawing-related data.

The parties concerned have decided not to reveal any details regarding the transaction. Addnode will be consolidating its operation from June 1, 2011 onward.

The information in press release is such that Addnode must disclose in accordance with the Swedish Securities and Clearing Operations Act and/or the Financial Instruments Trading Act. The information was released on June 7, 2011 at 08:00 a.m.
